| | I have always chickened out of my long runs so the longest I have ran in a long time is just over 4 miles. It was suppose to rain but when I got up it hadn't started yet so I hurried and got out there. Around mile 4 the rain really began to come down in sheets, it was cool to be running in the rain again. Shins hurt I will ice this weekend. Time 55 min. | Add Comment |
| | Just an easy run up 4800 and back. not too fast or too slow. 35 min. I think I have come to the realization that my shins will never heal so I should just shut up and run. | Add Comment |
| | Not a bad run this morning, it would be nice to not have to run by myself all the time but oh well. Legs were tight and they didn't want to move today but I trudged through it. | Add Comment |
| | Dave was in one of those moods to run fast again and its been awhile since we have ran around the bdo. We started at 7:15 pace for the first mile than dropped down to mid 6 pace for most of the second mile and came through the two mile mark at 13:55. Dave started to leave me in the dust at this point, legs were falling off and finding it hard to breath. 3 mile 21 min. 4th mile just trying to stay relax and push it but not overly pushing it, if that makes sense. Finished in 28 min. Dave finished in 27 min. The shins seem to hurt less the faster I go, that doesn't make any sense to me. | Add Comment |
| | Ran the old 6000 loop. Ran with Nick again and he felt good or else I don't think I would have made it. My legs hurt all the way thru this run. I hope that the nice and easy run did more good than bad and hopefully I can get my shins back in order. I will be running the 11 leg of the wasatch back in six weeks so I need to get into better shape. 55 min. | Add Comment |
| | Ran down by the Weber River this morning with Nick for an ok 4 miles. 33min My left shin is still in pain. I really don't know what to do to get rid of it. I have looked through some of the injury blogs and I'm currently trying to do some of the stretches and exercises. I have also put on about 8 lbs since mid April, unexplained??? As long as it is all muscle I could use some more as I am still underweight by a lot. | Add Comment |
| | I went to the doctors yesterday because my leg was still hurting. It turned out that I have a torn ligament and have to wear a boot for 3 weeks and then he will reevaluate it. I hope that I can still run the wasatch back. I rode the bike today for 40 min. | Add Comment |
